Are you constantly trying to change your routine activities? Are you not satisfied by the ordered and monotonous life? Are you always thinking of original and unconventional ideas? No need to panic because it is common, it is known as entrepreneurial behavior.  Due to such entrepreneurial behavior, an entrepreneur never sits calmly; he is always in search of something innovative and different to employ in his business. It is said that the point which brings utmost satisfaction to an entrepreneur is when he utilizes all his opportunities in an unprecedented way. Peter Ferdinand Drucker, the founder of modern management, said, "The entrepreneur always searches for change, responds to it, and exploits it as an opportunity."

Following are a few things that exhibit the entrepreneurial behavior.

  • Original and effective ideas:

Entrepreneurial behavior leads to the carrying out of new ideas. The change can be brought not only by changing the business products entirely but also by using new techniques to sell the same product; it means just a few little changes brings contentment to the people with entrepreneurial behavior. Naveen Jain, a the founder and former CEO of InfoSpace, says, "Great entrepreneurs focus intensely on an opportunity where others see nothing."

  • Kick off an activity:

A person with an entrepreneurial behavior is always hoping to start something new such as an activity or a business. Entrepreneurship is something that clearly reveals the entrepreneurial behavior of a person. Most entrepreneurs are constantly looking for something original. Michael Gerber, the founder of Michael E. Gerber Companies, states, “The entrepreneur is not really interested in doing the work; he is interested in creating the way the company operates. In that regard, the entrepreneur is an inventor.” The spirit for creating something new is found in many people such as artists, painters, singers, poets, scientists etc. The freshness and creativity may lie in a piece of writing or music, it may be found in a poem or a political speech or even in a game. As it is said that art is for the sake of art, similarly, change is brought in the existing realm just for the sake of change. This search of innovation is an attribute of entrepreneurial behavior.

  • Revolts and revolutions:

We have been experiencing strikes, revolts, and revolutions for a long time but have you ever noticed that all these stand for one thing and that is change. They stand against the existing order and want to exercise a different viewpoint. All such rebellions and revolts can be found to be indicating the entrepreneurial behavior.

  • Our attitude towards life:

A considerable amount of entrepreneurial behavior can be observed in our attitude towards life. Often, we talk about going for holidays and relaxing because we get tired of living a monotonous life. We want to follow modern fashion styles, use advanced gadgets, listen to different types of music, redecorate our homes and offices etc. Although all these are very insignificant changes in our daily life, they do reveal some kind of an entrepreneurial behavior.

This doesn't necessarily mean that everyone is an entrepreneur but this does reflect the idea that everyone has entrepreneurial behavior to some extent.
